With just one exception, far-right candidates have won every presidential election held in Latin America in 2025 and 2026.

What is driving the rise of the far right in Europe and Latin America — and how do these movements differ across the two regions?

As part of our Third Network Meeting, held in Oslo and organised by the University of Oslo and Sciences Po, the MSCA Doctoral Network LAC-EU is hosting a panel on the far right across both regions.

Speakers include Lisa Zanotti (Central European University), Georg Wink (Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen) and Andres Rivarola Puntigliano (Stockholms universitet). The panel is moderated by Benedicte Bull.
