Get to know EULAS, a Jean Monnet Network that focuses on EU-Latin America Academic Synergies
EU-Latin America Academic Synergies (EULAS) is a Jean Monnet Network that kicked off earlier this year and that focuses on research, innovation, and collaboration between Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean. EULAS seeks to advance global understanding of European integration and strengthen the EU’s external influence by generating and sharing insights on EU foreign policy and its relations with LAC regions.
Coordinated by IBEI, the network brings together 24 prestigious higher education institutions, including 10 from the European Union, 14 from Latin America, and 1 from the Caribbean, to create a powerful platform for transregional academic exchange. Until November 2027, EULAS will develop a unique academic ecosystem that emphasises excellence, gender equality, and geographical diversity.
Their website is available in English, Spanish and Portuguese. It features a blog that will soon include entries by LAC-EU doctoral candidates; the issues of its newsletter (to which you can subscribe here); and information on different opportunities that connect Latin America and the Caribbean, and the EU.
You can follow their social media profiles to keep up to date with all the activities they offer.
